The hunger to travel in the post-covid era had a grip on me that was not easily satiated, so in 2021 alone I had booked trips to Airlie Beach and Hobart in Australia, the UK, Portugal, and New Zealand in an attempt to not only feed my desire for travel, but also to escape the mundane that had become normal during lockdowns and confinement for over a year. This image was taken from the top of the Dom Luis I Bridge over the river Duoro in Porto, Portugal, October 2021. It remains a favourite of mine because it came at a time of uncertainty in my life, but now serves as a reminder to always seek out adventure, even if you don't know what's coming next.
